Life at the Pray house is one big mess of germs. Somebody is always sick, or getting over being sick, or just starting a new illness. It's been quite horrible this year. Lots of viruses for sure. I hope once winter passes and the warm weather arrives that we can get rid of all of these germs.
Brenden is doing great in school. We had a conference with his teacher and she had him do some tests to show his progress for the year. He was already very advanced in his reading skills but the follow up testing shows that he has improved and his math skills are now off the charts too. He just loves to learn. He is so focused when it comes to things like that. He was reciting his multiplication tables one day and the teacher told me that he does computer lessons that are far above his grade level but they said he follows along so they just let him go for it. He lost his first tooth on Valentine's day. It was his top front tooth. His bottom tooth is loose too and the secondary tooth has already started coming in behind it so I hope the bottom one falls out soon. I don't want him to have the overcrowding of teeth that I had growing up. He looks so cute with his little toothless smile. We have finally tackled the challenge of tying shoes. He needs to fine tune his skills a little so they stay tied better but he finally got there. As easily as he learns everything else, tying shoes was a real mental block for him. I guess because it requires the physical skills to back it up. He really struggled with not being able to learn it right away.
Logan is still my little wild man. We found out that there is an early entrance program for kindergarten for kids born in the month of September (cut off for enrollment is August 31). So we signed him up for that and he will have to take a test to prove he's ready for kindergarten. It would be nice to have he and Brenden back at the same school. So we have been working with Logan to get him up to speed. He's smart, but I hear the test is something that the average kid, who is of kindergarten age, can't pass easily. He doesn't have the same focus and drive that Brenden does. He can learn if you can get him to sit still long enough, but he would rather be running around like a wild man than sitting down and learning things. He has the best imagination. You could give that boy 2 rocks and he would turn them into super heroes and play with them for hours. He is very much into physical play and role playing. He loves to dress up and pretend. I love his free spirit. Logan is going to be Logan and the rest of the world can just deal with that :) He is not one to conform.
